Last Spring Downham Market’s Clackclose Primary School and Wimbotsham Primary School held a Future Fair for Year 5 and 6 children across the schools.
The event is designed to give the children the chance to think about the future and the types of jobs that they might like to do.
The next Future Fair will be held on Friday 22nd March 2013 and organisers would welcome anyone who would like to contribute to the event in any way.
Classroom talks, along with stands in the school hall, will gave the children a chance to ask questions and talk to those people already working in a variety of careers.
Last year there were representatives from varied fields of work including the NHS, floristry, engineering, Cats Protection, KLFM, education and catering. Throughout the morning the children attended workshops run by UEA and Downham Market High School where they learned about education beyond primary school and also about the social side of university life.
This year cake decorating, voluntary work and music, amongst others, will also be added to the careers being show-cased.
If you are interested in being a part of this event then please contact Rebecca Westall on [email protected] by Monday 18th March.
