At the heART of Downham Market is … Framin’Art. Did you know that, at the rear of this town centre art shop, there is a light and airy classroom which regularly pumps the creative blood of our local people? Located at 15 High Street, the venue offers a range of courses and one off workshops. On Monday and Tuesday mornings Sheila O’Brien teaches watercolours. At the time of writing, there are a couple of places left in the Tuesday morning class. On Wednesday mornings there is a regular acrylic class with Elizabeth Fitzgerald-Carter who also teaches the Wednesday evening drawing course. Becka Elliott has been running an after school art class for children aged 6-11 since September. A second class is now being offered on a Tuesday at 4.00pm.
In the near future there are also have places available on a number of workshops and short courses including:
1st, 8th and 15th May – Silk Painting – 3 mornings with Julie Spriggs.
10th May – Mosaic Making – one morning with Becka Elliott
17th May – Rag Rugging – one morning with Sue Welfare
