This Bank Holiday Monday will see the 25th Annual Fenman Bike Show in Wimbotsham.
So the story goes: “During the early spring of 1989 a group of local classic motorcycle enthusiasts met quite by chance in the bar of the Chequers pub and of course the topic was soon that of motorcycles…”
Now in it’s 25th year of classic two-wheeled appreciation, as always, the long August weekend plays host to a large gathering of some magnificent motorbikes. The team behind the event – which raises money for local charities – centres it’s the activities around the enjoyment of classic bikes with a fantastic Show and Auto jumble. There are competitions along the way in a variety of classic motorbike classes; including the pre-war (anything Pre 1939) in which the best judged can win prizes and trophies.
Of course, you don’t have to be a bike nut to enjoy the vibe of the Fenman Classic Show – (but it helps!) And if you’re curious…you can wonder along to Wimbo and just have a gander….a wonderful way to spend a Bank Holiday Monday.
