Downham Market is hosting an array of Easter extravaganzas this weekend for people of all ages. With plenty to entertain you and your family Downham Market is a great place to be and have a great time.

Friday 29th March 2013

On Good Friday if you fancy some bingo then head to the Denver Village Hall, doors open at 6:30pm and eyes down at 7.30pm. So grab your dibber and your dabber then pop down to Denver for a night of excitement and competition. All proceeds will be going to the club funds.

Saturday 30th March 2013

If you don’t feel like cooking on Saturday evening then it would be worth turning up at the Downham Town Hall for the Royal British Legion’s Annual Dinner. Doors open at 6.15pm and food will begin around 7.00pm, there will also be a bar and a raffle all for just £17.00. For further information you can call (01366) 384726 or (01366) 378435.

Now if live music is what you are looking for on Saturday night then you are in for a treat this weekend, Saturday night showcases two excellent bands. Walkway will be performing at The Live And Let Live from 9.00pm til 11.30pm. Walkway are an excellent band with an extensive repertoire whose influences range from Aerosmith and Journey to Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine. Alternatively Vex are taking to the stage at The Downham Market Club from 9pm til late. Vex’s repertoire of popular covers with a twist span from Jimi Hendrix to Dizzee Rascal ensuring an all round great show.

Sunday 31st March 2013

Easter Sunday holds host to a car boot sale in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance at Tesco’s car park, brought to you by The Rotary Club Of Downham Market. If you are interested in a pitch (two parking spaces) then its only £10, no booking is necessary just turn up and pay on entry, there are only 80 pitches available however so if you want to set up a stall then head down as early as 6.30am to secure a place. If you are just interested in a bargain stalls are open from 8am til 1.00pm.

Later that afternoon at 2.00pm The Downham Market Club have organised a children’s Easter egg hunt giving the kids a chance to have fun and search for festive treats. Sunday night The Live And Let Live have a karaoke night in store for us, karaoke always provides a lot of fun and laughter, it begins at 8.00pm til late offering many of your favorites to croon along to.
