Singers Inspired, the Downham Market community choir, would love to welcome you if you think you might enjoy singing.
The choir is a vibrant, good-humoured, mixed group of more than 40 people from a wide area around Downham. People are encouraged to come and find out how enjoyable it is to create musical harmony.
All can take part: young & old, men & women, those with or without singing experience. No audition is required, nor an ability to read music.
The group sings in four parts – soprano, alto, tenor and bass – and new members are invited to come and work out which suits them best.
Singers Inspired learns a wide variety of beautiful songs from traditional, pop, gospel and world music – many familiar tunes – all taught by musical director, Nat O’Sullivan, with great knowledge and enthusiasm.
Rehearsals are:
19:30 to 21:30 on Thursday evenings in regular school term time
in the Hall at Downham Methodist Church hall on Paradise Road, PE38 9HX.
The new term starts on Thurs Sep 7th, and first two attendances would be free.
There will be a special New Members/Bring a Friend evening on Thurs 14th Sept when we hope to welcome lots of new members.
