downhamweb.co.uk is the original community website for Downham Market, Norfolk.
It was set up in 2007 and has since offered regularly updated information about Downham Market and the surrounding villages. The site publishes:
- Community News
- Local and visitor information
- Things to do
- Listings of businesses services and local tradespeople
- A growing events diary
The downhamweb website is owned, operated and updated by local people in Downham Market. The ‘local’ newspapers are owned by corporations that run dozens or even hundreds of publications.
Many people think we are affiliated with the Town Council or that we receive Council funding – neither of which are true. Our only income comes from our local business supporters and advertisers which is used to pay for web hosting and essential ongoing site maintenance.
