“Being a Motor Neurone Disease Association Visitor is a very
rewarding role. It gives me a boost when I have made a difference for someone living with MND”.
Do you enjoy listening to and helping people? Are you looking for a volunteering role which fits in around your family, work, studies and other commitments? By giving just two to four hours a week, Association Visitors can have a huge impact.
As an Association Visitor you will maintain contact with people with MND, their families and carers by phone, email or face to face visits. The role is a challenging but rewarding one. By offering confidential emotional support, accurate information and help to access the right services and equipment you can enable people affected by MND to live their life more easily
and to make informed choices.
For more information on how you can become an Association Visitor please contact Lindsay Goward, the Associations’ local Regional Care Development Adviser on 07876 574923 or email her at [email protected]. Alternatively, you can find out more about MND, the Association, the Visitor role and apply online at www.mndassociation.org.
