A great day out on the River Wissey was had at this year’s annual Hilgay Raft Race held on Sunday.
Originally the race had been planned for earlier in the Summer, but it had to be re-arranged due to poor weather and swampy conditions.
Plenty of homemade rafts battled out for glory on the river, while crowds cheered them on from the banks.
Howard Phillips, from the Rotary Club of Downham Market, said “Thanks to all those who supported the day and to those that missed out – keep an eye out for next year’s event!”
Money raised will benefit charities Nelson’s Journey and Sue Ryder.
