The local King’s Lynn and District Astronomy Society are holding a free event for the National Astronomy Week at Tottenhill Village Hall on Saturday 8th March from 4pm to 9pm (weather permitting).
After the success of their Star Gazing Live event on 11th of January, where some 300 people attended including the Mayor of Downham Market, they’re hoping for an equally as successful event this time round.
Telescopes will be set up to observe Jupiter and it’s moons. Find out about the quarter moon and it’s mountains, valleys, and craters, or double stars and supernovae.
The village hall will have activities for children and trade stands. Members of the society will be on hand to answer your questions. Hot food should be available to purchase outside and there will certainly be hot drinks to buy inside.
Keep an eye out in Your Local Paper for their coverage coming soon. If you would like more information about this event, other events, or the society, feel free to visit their website.
