You can find the Downham Town Cricket Club at The Memorial Playing Field, Lynn Road, Downham Market. Monthly meetings are held in the clubhouse. Dating back to the late 1700’s, Downham Town Cricket Club is one of the oldest of the active clubs. The club holds four senior teams and three junior teams which all compete in leagues and friendly matches across the County. The 1st XII have gained the title of Norfolk Alliance Premier League champions two years in a row, making the Town’s cricket club one of the best in the County. Furthermore, the club sends coaches into high schools and primary schools nearby to coach the children. The schools do not contribute funding towards these coaching sessions, everything is financed by the club.
